The best get-together!

I had a chance to host a reunion of my closest friends in high school. Most of them came, except for a married gal and two others now living abroad.

Naldo (Vincent), Chris (Red Ranger), Tuning (Weirdo), Crem (Mr. Escort), and Tina (Ms. Crush ng Bayan) were present. And my Sunday evening was complete.

It is a despedida party (bon voyage) as I will be away from home for a few months. There’s a lot of sharing and reminiscing of present and past days and all the childish gestures of sorts are still visible. I’m really happy to see all of them and it felt really good.

So many revelations (childish, unexpected high school stories) were told. Old ties and relationships were renewed (?) and the undying “Red Ranger-Sailormoon” love team was put on the hot seat (Yes, I was Sailormoon.).

Tina is more beautiful than ever. Chris and Naldo both gained weight. Tuning is still payat (thin/slim, perhaps, my male version) and so is Crem. They are all busy with their careers/profession but seemed content. Tina works at a German company; Tuning holds supervisory post in a large industrial plant; Naldo works for an oil company; Crem works in a renowned hospital; and Chris teaches Math in the University.

Naldo and his girlfriend had a business venture in UP Los Baños and they invited us to see the opening. Chris invited me to come. We will be going on Monday before I leave.
